Information & Funding
Here you can find out about how we run things at. We need your help to keep this organisation running as smoothly as possible!
What happens if my child is ill?
It's unavoidable that small children catch all kinds of minor infections. For a speedy recovery and to prevent the other children from falling ill, children who are unwell must stay at home. Only when the fever has subsided for a whole day should you return your child to the nursery. If the disease is infectious, we'll need a doctor's note confirming that your child is no longer contagious.
We send out invoices every half term before the term begins.
As The Little School is open for 38 weeks of the year, we break it down into Autumn term 14 weeks, Spring term 12 weeks and Summer term 12 weeks, these are then split into 2 half terms.
Holidays taken and sickness cannot be refunded.
Normal fees apply on Bank Holidays that fall in a School Week when we are open. If you have any further queries regarding our fee structure, see the Fee Structure page. Please feel free to contact Mr Fry, our accountant.
Early Years Funding (universal)
The first term after your child is 3 years old, your child will be able to claim 570 hours of funding, across the 38 weeks that we are open, this is used towards the cost of your invoice. We offer a maximum of 3 hours funding per session or 6 hours funding in a full day. We are not able to offer more than 15 hours funding per week.
However your invoice will have an additional service charge fee applied per session for our extensive "Forest School Program" as well as other extra additional services and consumables that we provide at little forest school on the green.
We are registered with all the major Voucher Companies and they will have all our details. Please give them our setting name and address and we will receive your payments automatically. Please remember invoices are due at the beginning of the term so you may need to make a BACS payment first, as your vouchers may not arrive in time.
If you would like a place for your child, our Manager, Mrs Voss is on hand for any queries relating to our current admissions. Once a place can be offered to your child, you will be asked to complete and return our registration form with a deposit to secure your place. Please look out for our regular open day dates when we'll gladly take the time to explain everything you need to know. You can contact us by phone or email. We look forward to meeting you!
